Here’s a simple, tasty beef samosa recipe that you can make at home — crispy outside, juicy and flavorful inside.

🥩 Ingredients

For the filling

500g minced beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, mince

1–2 green chilies, chopped (optional)

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

½ teaspoon turmeric powder

½ teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)

2 tablespoons cooking oil

For the pastry

Ready-made samosa pastry sheets or homemade dough (2 cups flour + pinch of salt + water to knead)

For sealing

2 tablespoons flour + 3 tablespoons water (make a thick paste)

🍳 Instructions

1. Make the filling

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

2. Add onion, garlic, and ginger paste; sauté until soft and fragrant.

3. Add minced beef and cook until browned, breaking up lumps.

4. Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook for 2–3 minutes.

5. Add chilies (if using) and salt. Cook until meat is fully done and moisture has evaporated

6. Stir in fresh coriander, then remove from heat. Let it cool completely before filling.

2. Prepare the pastry

If using ready-made sheets: Thaw if frozen and cut into strips.

If making from scratch: Roll dough into thin sheets, cut into strips 7–8 cm wide.

3. Shape the samosas

1. Take one pastry strip, fold one end into a triangle pocket.

2. Fill with 1–2 teaspoons of the cooled beef mixture.

3. Continue folding into a triangle shape, sealing the edge with the flour paste.

4. Fry

Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat.

Fry samosas in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3–5 minutes).

Drain on paper towels.

5. Serve

Enjoy hot with chutney, kachumbari, or tomato sauce.
